Tarot to Cultivate Intuition

Everyone has psychic ability. Most of us don’t even realize it and many of us who do, never take the time to develop it.
Assuming you’re already reading the tarot here is what I’d suggest to become more psychic in your readings.
You can use the tarot to cultivate intuition.
When you’re preparing for your reading surrounded yourself in white light, connect with your higher self – your guides – or the source of your intuition for this reading.
Ask to function as a conduit for higher knowledge, wisdom, and intuition during your reading. This could be something as simple as, “Higher self – I open myself to the wisdom, insights, and information you provide.”
Be crystal clear in your intention to receive only information to that is in your highest and best interest and/or the highest and best interest of your client if reading for someone else.
Spend a minute or two consciously opening your mind and your intuition to whatever wants to come through. If reading for yourself, you can do this while shuffling the cards. This is the part that takes the most practice. For me, there is a step away from my conscious mind and an imagining/allowing a flow of knowledge from my higher self or the universe through me. If I try too hard to control it, I tend to lose my connection.
I recommend recording the audio of the reading. You don’t want to break the flow by stopping to write things down. Audio allows you to get ‘into the zone’ of the reading without worrying about remembering everything or pausing.
Even if the reading is for yourself, I recommend (at first) explaining everything about your reading the way you’d explain it to a client sitting in front of you. Get into the meaning of each card – that card in it’s specific position, how the card fits into the reading, etc. It’s in this relaxed flow of language you’ll start to recognize intuitive thoughts. You may even find yourself talking and realizing that what you’re saying might have been prompted by the card you’re reading, but in your intuition has taken that card meaning in a direction that may not even make sense to you at the time. Just trust the process and keep practicing.
When finished with your reading, thank your guides or whomever you asked for insight. Mentally close or filter the open channel you created.
Eventually, you’ll find that your readings just naturally include a combination of your technical tarot knowledge and your intuition. At times you’ll be focused on the technical meaning of a card – other times you’ll be just letting the language flow. You may even find yourself talking and wondering where the heck all the amazing intuitive information flowing out of your mouth is coming from. 😀
